Here is a look at the action from Week 8, according to the numbers:

28 – Points scored in the third quarter by Mission Viejo to overcome a 21-14 halftime deficit on the way to a 55-32 victory over Tesoro.

203 – Rushing yards for Mission Viejo’s Alex Suchesk in the victory. Suchesk scored three touchdowns (34, 56 and 80 yards).

181 – Rushing yards gained by St. John Bosco’s Darren Walker in Friday’s 27-19 victory over Mater Dei.

190 – Total yards for Santa Margarita quarterback Kyle Sweet (134 passing and 56 rushing) in Friday’s 17-14 victory over Orange Lutheran.

4 – Touchdown passes for El Toro’s Conner Manning in Friday’s 35-17 victory over Trabuco Hills. Manning completed 26 of 43 passes for 301 yards.

5 – Touchdowns for Foothill quarterback Jack Gilchrist (four passing and one rushing) in the 42-14 victory over El Dorado.

3 – Rushing touchdowns scored by Villa Park’s Meki Tafuna in Friday’s 31-26 victory over Brea Olinda.

256 – Passing yards for Los Alamitos quarterback Cody Marshall in the 28-21 victory over Fountain Valley.

2 – Second-half rushing touchdowns scored by Los Alamitos running back Richie Molina in the victory.

1 – Second remaining when Adam Gordon’s 37-yard field goal went through the uprights to give Capistrano Valley the 17-14 victory over Laguna Hills.

2 – Touchdowns scored by Servite quarterback Travis Waller (one passing and one rushing) in the 28-0 victory over JSerra.

10 – Deficit faced by Newport Harbor in the third quarter of Friday’s game against Huntington Beach.

13 – Consecutive points scored in the second half by Newport Harbor to turn a 17-7 deficit into a 20-17 victory.

4 – Touchdown passes by Yorba Linda quarterback Brandon Summers in the 43-6 victory over Cypress. Summers completed 17 of 29 passes for 289 yards in the game.

225 – Rushing yards gained by Buena Park’s Deven Boston in the 30-19 victory over Sunny Hills.

193 – Rushing yards gained by Woodbridge’s Austin DeFreitas in the 38-7 victory over University. DeFreitas scored a pair of touchdowns.

5 – Touchdown passes by Alek Torgersen (Edison) in the first-half of Friday’s 78-0 victory over Marina.

265 – Rushing yards gained by Costa Mesa’s Oronde Crenshaw in the 58-12 victory over Saddleback. Crenshaw scored four touchdowns.

3 – Receptions and touchdowns for La Habra’s Luke Gomez in the 34-9 victory over Fullerton.

5 – Rushing touchdowns scored by Orange’s Aaron Aguilar to lead the way in the 45-33 victory over Segerstrom. Aguilar rushed for 226 yards.

3 – Touchdown passes for Brethren Christian quarterback Jack McInally as the Warriors defeated Sage Hill, 42-13. McInally completed 21 of 32 passes for 261 yards.

44 – Points scored in the first quarter by Garden Grove in Thursday’s 70-0 victory over Santiago.

191 – Rushing yards gained by Kennedy’s Darius Miles in the 26-3 victory over Western.

4 – Touchdowns scored by Northwood’s Kevin Norman (two rushing, one passing and one defensive) in the 31-16 victory over Beckman.

2 – Interceptions returned for touchdowns by Santa Ana Valley’s Daniel Perez (78 and 60 yards) in the 36-21 victory over Anaheim.

263 – Total yards gained by Corona del Mar’s Cayman Carter (155 passing and 108 receiving) in the 41-0 victory over Irvine. Carter passed for two touchdowns and rushed for another.

2002 – The last time Katella had a winning record, until this year. With Thursday’s 36-8 victory over Century, the Knights moved to 6-2 overall and 3-0 in the Orange League with two games remaining.

9 – Number of possessions Rancho Alamitos scored on in Thursday’s 63-6 victory over La Quinta.

447 – Passing yards by Boron quarterback Austyn Fink in Friday’s 64-6 victory over Capistrano Valley Christian.
