Mater Dei’s boys water polo program collected an impressive sweep Saturday.

The Monarchs’ varsity claimed the South Coast Tournament while the frosh-soph captured the Charger Cup. At the Charger Cup, Mater Dei defeated Foothill, 17-1, in the final.

Here’s the top-seven standings from the frosh-soph Charger Cup: 1. Mater Dei; 2. Foothill; 3. Corona del Mar; 4. El Toro; 5. Northwood; 6. Villa Park; 7. Dana Hills; 8. Woodbridge

Newport Harbor’s novice played at the Charger Cup for those tracking the Sailors.
