Orange Lutheran didn’t just get a football coach with a wealth of experience when it hired Chuck Petersen, the Lancers also picked up a promising safety.

Junior Brady Petersen (5-11, 174), son of the coach, was an all-district safety last season at 3-A Prosper High in Texas. Prosper was ranked in the top-10 in the state in 2011.

Petersen has been added to my picks for notable transfer players to watch in 2012.

Orange Lutheran likely can use the help on defense. In their final three Trinity League losses in 2011, the Lancers allowed 31, 31 and 48 points.
