Veteran Aliso Niguel boys water polo coach Justin Ferdinand, pictured left, has resigned and taken the athletic director position at Half Moon Bay near San Mateo, he confirmed Monday.

Ferdinand coached the Wolverines for eight seasons, guiding the squad to the playoffs four times. He also led the program to two 20-win seasons.

Aliso Niguel’s water polo website lists Aaron Rivadeneyra as the interim coach.
