All-County running back Ryan Wolpin of Santa Margarita has been offered by FCS South Dakota State of the Missouri Valley Conference, the senior reports.
Wolpin rushed for 1,637 yards and 27 touchdowns last season for the CIF-SS Pac-5 Division and state Division 1 champion.
The first-team All-County selection also is receiving interest from Boise State and FCS San Diego. Wolpin attended Boise State’s camp over the summer.
South Dakota State has been recruiting well in Orange County the past two seasons.
The Jackrabbits added Dana Hills’ Trent Mason and Aliso Niguel’s Kyle Paris among others. Paris, a freshman, is listed as a running back. Mason plays linebacker.
South Dakota State won its final three games last season to finish 5-6 overall.
