Santa Margarita defensive end Nick Begg (6-5, 245) has committed to San Diego State, the senior-to-be confirmed.
The Aztecs are the only school to offer Begg, a backup last season for the CIF-SS Pac-5 and CIF state Division 1 champions.
Begg also received interest from Nevada, Houston, Boise State, Washington State and Arizona State.
He is the fifth Santa Margarita senior-to-be to commit to a Division 1-A program, joining offensive lineman Erik Bunte (UCLA), safety/wide receiver Connor O’Brien (Santa Margarita), center Dane Crane (Washington) and wide receiver River Cracraft (Washington State).
