
Playing in the oppressive afternoon heat in Bethesda, Md., Beau Hossler finished with a 3-over-par 74 at Congressional Country Club during the second round of the AT&T National.
That put the Santa Margarita senior-to-be in a tie for 37th place, meaning he will get to stick around for the weekend as the top 80 players made the cut which was 6-over.
Hossler started the back nine double-bogey, bogey, bogey and moved to 4-over par. But he birdied two of his last six holes to card a 74.
Patrick Cantlay, who is playing in his second event as a professional, also made the cut. He posted an even-par 71 in the second round and is at 1-over for the tournament, putting him in a tie for 27th place, eight shots behind first-place Hunter Mahan.
Cantlay has been paired with Bae, Sang-Moon in the third round and they will tee off at 8:20 a.m.
Beau Hossler will start at 7 a.m., and he playing with Hunter Haas.
