Two-time Register girls water polo player of the year Rachel Fattal is staying busy in the pool.

The former Los Alamitos standout is training once or twice a week with the Olympic-bound women’s water polo team, the federation confirmed Thursday. Fattal is playing on the scout team.

The federation picked its 13-player Olympic roster in May and continues to prepare for the London Games.

Fattal, a UCLA-bound senior, also is playing club water polo for SOCAL, which could have one of the top teams for this summer’s Junior Olympics.

With Fattal gaining experience by the day, she will be fun to watch play later this summer and at UCLA.
