Finally, IT’S TIIIIIIIIIME!!!!!

This is what the millions have finally been waiting for … Norco vs. Santiago for the CIF-SS Division 1 title. Norco beat Santiago, 12-4, on March 16 and Santiago came back to beat Norco, 3-2, on April 25. Both teams hail from the Big VIII League.

Ohio State-commit Erica Romero pitched the Sharks to the title in 2011 as a sophomore and she starts in the circle for this one as Santiago tries to go back-to-back.

Lord Vader, aka Santiago coach John Perez, is already trying to Force choke Norco coach Rick Robinson, who is coaching at third base.

Cal-commit Kylie Reed leads off the top of the first with a single for the Cougars. The Battle for Inland Empire Supremacy is on.

WILD PITCH!!! Reed is on second.

Romero gets Tennessee-commit Abigail Lockman on a called third strike. One down.

Nebraska-bound Emily Lockman flies out deep to right field and Reed tags and takes third.

Tennessee-commit Taylor Koenig pops out to end the inning.

Here come the Sharks.

Lockman, who has 21 shutouts on the season, is starting in the circle for Norco.

OUCH!!!! HBP!!! UNLV-bound Brittany Abacherli is on to lead things off for the Sharks.

Nevada-bound Nikki Orozco with a slap back at Lockman, who turns to get the lead runner, but nobody is there to cover. Everybody is safe. Sharks have runners at first and second with no outs.

Illinois State-bound Erin Rodriguez steps to the plate and E-Rod can crack. She also has 39 walks. E-Rod grounds into a fielder’s choice and the Cougars get the runner at second.

Santiago has runners on first and third with one out. E-Rod steals second and the Cougars don’t contest it.
