Estancia might have finished tied for seventh in the CIF-SS Southern Regional on Monday at Tijeras Creek Golf Club, but Jake Knapp, a senior on the Eagles’  boys golf team, topped the leader board again.

Knapp posted the low round of the day, a 4-under 68; however, since this was a team event, all Knapp gets is bragging rights.

The season is over for the Eagles as only the top three teams from the regional made it to Thursday’s CIF-SS team championship.

Knapp, though, has at least one more tournament to go. He will be among the favorites to win the CIF-SS Southern Individual Regional at Skylinks in Long Beach. He won is third consecutive Orange Coast League title there after going 13-under in the 36-hole tournament.
