La Habra linebacker and UCLA commit Aaron Porter ended up not making a recruiting trip to Oklahoma, Highlanders football coach Frank Mazzotta said in a text message Monday.

The Sooners made a late offer to The Register’s defensive player of the year and wanted him to make a visit this past weekend.

But Porter didn’t trip to Norman and remains a solid commitment to the Bruins. “UCLA it is!” Mazzotta said in a text.
