Corona del Mar’s reigning CIF Division 2 champion boys water polo team is playing host to a Leukemia awareness match for a young girl Tuesday when it takes on visiting Woodbridge. The first-level of play starts at 3:15 p.m.
The Sea Kings are supporting a 6-year-old girl named Kimie Metcalf, who is a daughter of a friend of CdM coach Barry O’Dea.
Corona del Mar will wear orange caps in the Pacific Coast League match. Orange is the color for Leukemia awareness.
Proceeds from the snack bar will also benefit Kimie.
Sounds like a great cause.
