DANA HILLS (2-3) VS. CAPISTRANO VALLEY (1-4)
Where, when: Capistrano Valley High, Thursday, 7 p.m.
Outlook: This is the final nonleague game for both teams. Next year, when the 10-school Coast View Conference realigns its Sea View and South Coast leagues, Dana and Capo just might be together in the Sea View just like they were together for so many years in the South Coast before the conference’s formation.
Dana Hills has beaten San Juan Hills and Mission Hills of San Marcos and lost to two superior teams, Edison and El Toro (a 14-0 loss last week). Capo lost its first four games, to Trabuco Hills, Santa Fe Christian of Solana Beach, Cypress and Cabrillo of Long Beach – each of which has a 4-2 record. The Cougars last week got that much-needed first victory against San Marcos of Santa Barbara, 28-13. It looks like Dana Hills will get to .500 and Capistrano Valley will be 1-5 when both start league play next week.
Winner: Dana Hills
Mission Viejo vs. Redlands East Valley
