As the only Orange County team playing in the Sierra League, Troy’s girls golf team usually seems to go unnoticed for the most part during the regular season.
On Wednesday, though, the Warriors recorded a victory that proved they have to be included among the best teams in the county.
Junior Allison Lillie and sophomore Victoria Cha each carded a 3-over-par 39 on the front nine at Dove Canyon Country Club to share medalist honors and lead Troy to a 206-225 nonleague victory against Santa Margarita, perennialĀ Trinity League power and a team which has five seniors on its roster.
Kelly Dapper, an Trinity League First Team selection last season, also shot a 39 for Santa Margarita and finished as the co-medalist in the match.

Just a little FYI – Marina 223, Estancia 263: Cassie Stevenson plays for the Estancia Eagles not the Marina Vikings.
Sorry about that. I have made the fix
Thanks.
