Senior-to-be quarterback Jake Hall, left, helped led JSerra’s football team to a third-place finish at the San Diego State passing tournament on Saturday.
If anyone has the standings from the tournament, please post in “comments.” Thanks

A blogger indicated that J Serra’run was remarkable in, that after losing the first game, they scored on every possession the rest of the day
I was there…and JSerra did not score on every possession after their loss. Worth noting, JSerra’s loss came to Fountain Valley…
JSerra will finish 0-5 again…Whats the big deal
Their first loss came to Oceanside on Friday. It wasn’t even a contest and JSerra had the worst mouth’s of the tournament…They are not a very good passing team.
Now Bishop Amat has a very good team. Their defense was pretty good and have very good skill guys.
HSF,
I agree that Bishop Amat is a very good team. The Lancers return with their two top leading rushers, their all-league QB, and their top receiver from last years 9-2 team. Not to mention several of their top tacklers on defense. They will definitely be the team to beat in the Serra league.
There will be thunder on Sep 9th when the Lancers strap-it-up against the Friars at Cerritos. Two loaded teams, two outstanding programs. It will be hard to pick a winner.
HSF, I am not saying that JSerra is good or bad passing team, but if I were to just take what you said at face value about JSerra not being a very good passing team, based on their performance this past weekend, I would be confused as “not a very good passing team” took 3rd place.
3rd place in the consolation bracket for JSerra. You can never base a football team on passing league, however when you do not use your passing games, but instead use a passing league offense, you are not using it to your advantage…it is to see your skill guys compete and to install your passing game…not a made up one to win the tournament.
