
Sean Ganey, who helped lead Woodbridge to the Pacific Coast League championship last season, has been hired to coach the Mater Dei boys soccer team, school officials announced on Thursday.
He replaces Andy Thomas who resigned at the end of the season.
Ganey began coaching the Woodbridge boys soccer team in 2004, compiling an 80-34-25 record, and that includes two undefeated seasons.
“We are delighted to hire Sean as the head coach of the Mater Dei boys soccer program and look forward to the integral role he will play in our school community,”Mater Dei athletic director Phil Bellomo said in a statement.
