San Clemente junior quarterback Travis Wilson (left)  has been offered scholarships by Utah and Washington, Tritons assistant football coach Jaime Ortiz said in an e-mail Friday night.

Ortiz said Wilson was the first quarterback offered by new Utah offensive coordinator Norm Chow, who certainly knows the quarterback position.

Wilson had a strong junior season but has huge upside considering his size and athleticism.

In other recruiting news from San Clemente,

All-County offensive lineman Kyle Murphy has been offered by Notre Dame, Michigan and Utah within the last 24 hours, Ortiz reports.

Murphy already has offers from Cal, Stanford, Duke and SMU.
