Offensive player of the year Josh Webb of Garden Grove likely is headed for Santa Ana College this fall. Grove coach Willy Puga said it was “90 percent” certain that multi-position star Webb will be at SAC.
Defensive player of the year Matt Inman, Servite linebacker, has offers from small out-of-state schools. Servite coach Troy Thomas said Inman might go to Fresno State as a walk-on.

Neither of the players are being recruited by colleges. That’s what I mean by rethink it. They are so good to be called player of the year, better than any other player, but not sought out by any college?
Ocblue —
who would you select as OC offensive and defensive players of the year for 2010?
We base it on performance — not potential. It’s not “Prospect of the Year.”
If Thomas had people skills Matt Inman would be on scholarship somewhere. But since he ONLY cares about players and what they can do for him NOW he drops you like a hot potato. Ask past players also
Matt Inman did not accept scholarship offers. His mistake not the coach.
Thomas didn’t help him with the recruiters that did come and look at Matt. He took every chance to POINT out that Matt was not 6 foot. You mean from California to CT the only options were 2 small colleges for Inman? Other HC go to great lengths to get players looked at and offered. Thomas did nothing. Thomas would not even return phone calls of some schools.
