
Brent Melbon resigned as football coach at Dana Hills, Dana Hills athletic director Tom Faris announced today.
Melbon resigned to spend more time with his family, Faris said via text message.
Melbon coached Dana Hills for three years, compiling an 18-14 record. The Dolphins made the playoffs in 2009, for the first time since ’04, and beat Orange Lutheran in the first round for the school’s first playoff victory since 1991.
Dana Hills was 4-6 overall and 1-3 in the South Coast League this season.
