Segerstrom tight end Atlas Smith (6-4, 235) — one of OCVarsity.com’s Top 25 football recruits — has been offered by San Jose State, Jaguars coach Mike Maceranka reports. For Smith, it’s his first full scholarship from a I-A school.

Smith also is received strong interest from Villanova, one of the top FCS program.

In other Segerstrom recruiting news, running back Gary Ferman (5-10, 215) is attracting interest from Big Sky Conference member Sacramento State, Maceranka wrote in an e-mail.
