Mater Dei junior Ty  Moore has committed to UCLA, his father Roger confirmed. Moore hit .413 with 21 RBIs last season and posted a 1-1 record with four saves and a 2.29 ERA in 14 appearances last season as sophomore, helping the Monarchs to the CIF-SS Division 1 title.

Moore earned second team all-county honors last season and was selected the OCVarsity Sophomore of the Year.

Moore had other offers from Pac-10, Big West and West Coast Conference schools.
