Girls water polo: Los Alamitos All-County goalie commits

Los Alamitos All-County water polo goalie Savanna Smith has committed to Cal, she confirmed Tuesday night.
“It was just the right fit,” Smith wrote in a text message.
“I love the area and the team is great. (Rich Corso) is a amazing goalie coach and a great guy.”
Smith is a great get for Golden Bears, who once signed standout goalie from OC – Stephanie Peckham out of Santa Margarita.
Smith might be the best returning high school goalie in the Southern Section.
She also is the second aquatics standout from the county to pick Cal in recent weeks. Aliso Niguel swimmer Melanie Klaren also has committed to Cal.

Re: Cal Bears- Dan Albano or Water Polo Community – Whatever happened to Blake Kelly and Jack Yeager -NB – I did not even see them on the Cal Roster or as Redshirts either
Both are redshirts this year, as is Matt Russell. Cal is loaded with upper class talent this season, but those guys will get a chance to make their mark in the years to come.
I saw that Max Bergeson is getting playing time at Cal and scoring goals as a true freshman , I am surprised that Kelly, Yeager and Russell would not be listed on the roster as redshirts
