Aliso Niguel swimmer Melanie Klaren, The Register’s 2010 co-female of the year, has committed to Cal, she said in an e-mail Monday night.

Klaren is a great get for the Golden Bears. The Mission Viejo Nadadores’ club standout is a versatile freestyle/backstroker who has the potential to score points at NCAAs.
