Football: Update on Harry Welch

Santa Margarita’s Coach Welch underwent the prostatectomy for prostate cancer Monday at Hoag Memorial Hospital in Newport Beach.
His wife, Cindee, said the operation took 5 1/2 hours, and surgeon Dr. Jeffrey Yoshida told her the procedure went “very, very well.”
She said the doctor told her 20 lymph nodes were removed, and there was very little bleeding.
Welch has said he hopes he will be out of the hospital within two days of the surgery.
