Rivera commits to CSUF already. He’s a pretty good shortstop but his hitting is weak and he still makes mental errors on the field. Has a lot of maturing to do. Surprised Fulerton locked onto to him so soon.
ocsabe,
Do/Did you play baseball?
If so, were you on varsity as a freshman at your highschool? Were you getting recruited that early? Did you commit to one of the best baseball colleges in the NCAA as a sophmore?
If you did, good for you and you know mental mistakes happen, at all levels. If you didnt, dont write about an amazing player with a good future ahead of him that way.
lol hes 15 years old. of course he makes mental errors. the kid was a freshman last year and had a great year
riveas hitting is amazing.. i went to all the games and i go to el dorado. idk wat ur talking about man.. csuf knows obviously whats up
urkiddingright
He batted .252, 8th of the starting 9, hardly “amazing”. I’m not rippin on the kid, he’s good, especially for a freshman. I’m just suprised he’s committed so early.
Congrants to you Chris,.
Kevin F. dad.
WOW ANOTHER KNOW IT ALL RIPPING ON A YOUNG MAN WHO HAS A BRIGHT FUTURE ….LOL…LISTEN PAL IF YOU KNEW THAT KID AND ALL HES ABOUT AND WHAT HE CAN BE YOU WOULD HOLD YOUR JUDGEMENT AND COMMENT UNTILL HIS JOURNEY IS OVER BECAUSE HE HAS JUST BUGUN HIS PATH TO A GREAT FUTURE. YOU SOUND LIKE A BITTER EX PLAYER WHO ONLY WISHES YOU HAD HALF THE TALENT THAT KID HAS AND YES I SAID KID. THE YOUNG MAN HAS BEEN BROUGHT UP TO IGNORE COMMENTS SUCH AS YOURS AND KEEP MOVING ON. ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS DONT BLINK BECAUSE YOURE GONNA MISS SOMETHING SPECIAL AS A MATTER OF FACT ……GET REAQDY TO BUY THE TICKET NUFF SAID ….OH YEAH THATS FOR YOU OCSABE
Good job Chris!
To all doubters…my son had the pleasure of playing with him at NTIS (N. Carolina) last year and again at EBS showcase this summer and I must say that this kid has what it takes to make it to the bigs.
Bottom 7 full count 2 outs down 1 run in the first playoff game against westlake…….Rivera homers to tie it up…the kid dealt the first blow to westlake under extreme pressure…i’ll take him anyday….then the Velez brothers finish off westlake in the bottom of the 11th goin triple, home run for the walk off win…..Best game of the year and Chris Rivera was an intergral part of it.
The first poster on here is clueless…and doesn’t understand projection….he projects to be a top player at many levels…just ask the scouts following him.
Guess you should check his stats playing with the USA team last year. This kid is one of the best for his age in the Nation if not the World.
You must not have seen this kid. I’ve watched him from Buena Park L.L. and beyond.
Go Chris……… Good Job Steve.
My son AJ has played with Chris for the past couple of years. They have traveled together to the USA Ntis and beyond. Chris is not only the best player at his age, but will contiue to grow to be one of the nations best SS. CSUF had done a great job in recruiting these players, they see the talent and know where it will take them. I am very proud to know Chris as he is a great kid, and it is a pleasure to wathc him play. I understand the concerns at such an early committ, but he is the real deal. Good luck to Chris in the future.
