Football recruiting: Servite’s Niklas narrows list to two

July 14th, 2010, 10:32 pm · · posted by

Servite senior-to-be tight end/defensive end Troy Niklas (6-5, 245) – arguably the county’s top uncommitted football recruit – has narrowed his list of colleges to just two.

Niklas said in a recent text message that he will decide between Stanford and Notre Dame.

That should an intriguing recruiting race for a super-talented kid.

Niklas is the most intimidating-looking player in the county and he’s got the skills to back it up.

I am glad that Troy Thomas was not able to convince him that USC was a better choice. For those that know, Sanford is the new TE-U, some of the greatest TE recruits this past couple of years!

Konrad Reuland (Mission Viejo) will be a senior TE at Stanford this fall

    He’s 6-6, 257 – jersey No. 88
