Charles Burks doesn’t have as many college offers as some of the other defensive ends working out at Sunday’s Nike Camp at USC.
But if you ask the Edison junior, he doesn’t think much is separating those players from him.
“It went well,” he said. “I did well in the one-on-one drills. I didn’t get beat. That’s great.
“The competition part was fun. It makes me want to push myself even harder. I’m not getting as many offers as some of these guys, but I feel I’m on the same level. I can hang with them.”
Burks called the one-on-one drills his favorite of the camp because it’s the closest thing he can get to game competition in the off season, he said.
He also said he learned little tips on technique that is sure to develop his skills.
