University’s No. 2 girls swim team and University’s No. 8 boys swept titles at the Irvine City Relay Championships at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center on Thursday.
University’s girls racked up 449 points to outdistance runner-up No. 10 Irvine at 367.
The Trojans’ boys collected 413 points to hold off No. 9 Irvine at 391.
One super-quick time to pass along:
University’s Chris Wong blazed a lead0ff 100 butterfly of 50.71, an automatic All-America and county-leading time. Yes, Wong is going to make the stroke-for-stroke race very interesting this spring.
