The county’s all-time leading freshman pole vaulter seems intent on continuing her climb up the county’s all-time list this season.
Foothill sophomore Victoria Rische cleared 12 foot, 1 inch on Thursday in a dual meet against Laguna Hills.
At last season’s CIF Master’s meet, Rische cleared 12 feet, three inches. That mark, tops in the nation for all freshman in 2009, also tied the school record set by former Knights vaulter Jennae Bennett in 2005 and moved her into a tie for 10th place on the county’s all-time list.
