No. 5 Huntington Beach 3, Mission Viejo 0: The Oilers (1-1) picked up their first victory with a sweep of the visiting Diablos, 25-22, 25-19, 25-20. It was the opener for Mission Viejo (0-1). Nick Iorfino recorded 10 kills and Nick Siegle had seven kills for Huntington Beach.

El Modena 3, Garden Grove 0: Connor Olbright had 14 kills and James Sutherland added seven kills as the Vanguards (1-0) swept past the visiting Argonauts (0-1), 25-22, 25-8, 25-15.

Dana Hills 3, Los Alamitos 0: The Dolphins pick up a win in their season opener with a sweep over the Griffins, 25-14, 27-25, 25-18.

Irvine 3, El Toro 0: Kevin Diniz recorded 14 kills and Jon Lidgren dished out 25 assists to carry Irvine past El Toro in three, 25-18, 27-25, 25-20. Ryan Hardy had 5 kills and 5 blocks for El Toro.

Aliso Niguel 3, University 0: The Wolverines rolled to vcitory, 25-15, 25-16, 25-14.

Valencia 3, Anaheim 0: C.J. Eakin put down 11 kills to lead the Tigers past Anaheim, 27-25, 25-21, 25-7.

Marina 3, Loara 2: Brennan Lee finished with 21 kills as the Vikings defeated the Saxons in five, 23-25, 23-25, 29-27, 27-25, 16-14.

Tesoro 3, Villa Park 0: Jon Guymon had 12 kills and Cole Evans had 9 kills as the Titans swept the Spartans, 25-17, 25-19, 26-24.

Santa Ana Valley 3, Santa Ana 0: Henry Guido and Marco Soberanis combined for 30 kills in the sweep over the Saints, 25-10, 25-18, 25-20.
