Calhoun’s comment: Los Alamitos defeated Upland at the Nike Extravaganza and not only jumped over the Highlanders, but the Griffins moved up three spots in this week’s rankings. Long Beach Poly received a big boost with the return of Shelton Boykin last week, but will it be enough to beat Mater Dei in the playoffs? … Probably not.
