Outlook: Known as one of the most balanced leagues in the county, not much will change this season. El Toro and Trabuco Hills shared the league crown last season, but its the Chargers who begin league as the favorite. El Toro has three players – Emily Goldstein, Megan Daniels and Brooke Ellison – who have scored 5 or more goals. Trabuco Hills hasn’t been able to produce goals like year’s rate, but it could change come league. The race for the playoffs in this league is going to be intense. There’s not much separation between Northwood, Foothill, Huntington Beach and Woodbridge. Of the bunch, Northwood has the best preseason win with a victory over Long Beach Wilson.

Predicted order of finish:

1. El Toro
2. Trabuco Hills
3. Northwood
4. Huntington Beach
5. Foothill
6. Woodbridge

Key matches:
Trabuco Hills at El Toro Jan. 21; El Toro at Trabuco Hills Feb. 10; Huntington Beach at Northwood Jan. 7; Northwood at Huntington Beach Jan. 28
