Girls soccer: Mater Dei wins Trinity opener

girls_soccer_blog1 Mater Dei began its quest for a fifth straight Trinity League title with a strong performance against Orange Lutheran.

Senior Nicole Depuy, freshman Maddie Bauer, and senior Lainey Prioleau scored goals, as the Monarchs defeated the Lancers 3-1 Tuesday afternoon at Mater Dei High.

In winning, Mater Dei (6-3-5) scored the most goals in a match since it’s season opener against Irvine.
