MD went on a heck of a run in the second quarter … Mater Dei outscored Tustin, 14-3, to finish the quarter. I am very impressed by Tustin, though. Glover and Coulter are excellent players.
For MD — Tommy Stangl, sr. PG, goes after every loose ball, and has become a heck of a passer, too. Gary Franklin hit a pair of ridiculously-long 3-pointers.
Plenty of subbing in and out, good idea given the hectic pace of the game.

you’r right steve. I was at this game and I was surprised to see Tustin go toe to toe with MD for that first half. But it was just a matter of time before the MD’s deep bench would take over. Matt Glover and Dominic Coulter are excellent players who proved they can compete at the level of the MD players. Cal is getting a great player in Franklin. The kid can shoot.
