Other all-league football teams:
i would like to say that nico jackson is not a senior and is a junior and would like it if it would be fixed.
thank you.
Thanks for the heads up on Nico. That info has been fixed.
How did Mitch Murar not make it. He made 2nd team All County!!!
All due respect to Foothill’s punter, Trabuco’s kicker was clearly the Special Teams Player of the Year in the Sea View League (just ask El Toro)…Football Fan, keep in mind that the All-League Teams are chosen by the Sea View League coaches and not OC Varsity..OC Register/OC Varsity selects the All-County Teams. I don’t know how the coaches did not get this one right – Probably politics since TH had the offensive and defensive players of the year…
I agree wtih Robert Smith. Sean Huddleston is the best kicker in the Sea View League.
As for the Defensive Player of the Year that should have gone to Danny McCormick of Trabuco Hills. Not even close. This kid was all over the field and led the Sea View League in tackles. He was always in position, did not make mistakes and came up with the big plays when they were needed most.
i know i was just saying how the oc varsity can pick him for all county and the sea view league coaches did not make him 1st team all league it is just blow my mind.
like he said….politics. TH already had too many players selected anyway.
screw that Mitch deserves to be on that all league team. plus trabuco won league of course there will be a lot of players on the all league teams they all deserve it. it is what it is.
I cannot belive that Mitch is being bashed here. He made all CIF and set school and county records.
Hey bruin7 no one here is bashing him…If you read all of the comments you will see that all of them are in support of him. Everyone agrees that he should have made All-League and been the Special Teams Player of the Year. We are all just speculating that the only reason he didn’t had to do with inappropriate politics. I don’t know what the coaches of the Sea View League were thinking…Well at least OC Varsity got it right by naming him appropriately to the All-County Team.
not bashed just snubbed…
Trabuco was clearly the best team in this league and so what if the whole team makes All League put the kids on there that deserve to be there even if it is from one team. Look at the NFL the Superbowl winner or the best team in the regular season always have like 8 of there players go. I know this aint the NFL just making a point.
Sean Huddleston was clearly the best kicker in the Sea View League. No questions asked.
Mitch Murar was All-County, All-CIF, the leading scorer in the Sea View League, 16 of 21 in field goals including a 40-yd game winner and several FG’s over 45 yds. Not to mention, a +40 yd punt average with 6 inside the 10 yd line. Nope, no questions.
Got to love all that early soccer training Murar experienced.
Looks like it bore some fruit in pointyball.
Then why couldn’t he even make All League? Sean didn’t make it because his team didn’t go to Cif playoffs and everyone on the All County Team did. Its all politics.
Foothill kid is a great punter, no questions there. Too bad both kids were not recognized by league. By the way, there were several kids from All-County Team whose teams did not make play-offs.
