      los

TO DO WHAT?……….NOT WITH THAT COACHING STAFF…..
      HELLO TO OVERRATED……………

      • losamigos 94 says:

los didnt do so good this year but with most of the team being sophmores and those sophmores were 7-3 and going undefeated in league should look good for los in the future

      • lobolove says:

the coaching staff is NOT the problem. the coaches are all great and they know what they’re doing. the team itself is really young. like losamigos 94 said, the team is mostly sophomores. don’t go counting los out just yet.

  • gghsalum says:

Did Trejo and Sepulveda from Grove get switched between 1st and 2nd teams? Season rushing stats for Trejo were 84 yards while Sepulveda ran for 730 yards. Seems like the later should be 1st team.

    • GG Player says:

Why did Trejo get Ist team? Sepulveda finished the year with great runs and 13 TDs. Trejo is a good player and very deserving, but I think the votes were miscounted.

  • JP says:

im curious as hell as to how grove doesnt have more people on first team on both sides of the ball, i mean there is a reason that they went to the cif championchip and destroyed everyone in league by 28+ points……more props to grove

    • Its Simple says:

it’s because it’s called All-League, not All-Grove. These are the best players from the League and maybe if all these players collectively played La Mirada they’d do what Grove couldn’t by themselves and win.

  • Jack Daniels says:

Garden Grove should have/could have beat La Mirada and hate to say this but most of the best players from the league are at Garden Grove and its not the players that make a team, its the chemistry. As a spectator I can honestly say that Garden Grove’s team had the best chemistry and coaching among the Garden Grove League teams.

    • footballfan1 says:

Coach Hay did a good job but let’s wait and see what he does in the next couple of years to find out how good he is. The team he coached was already league favorites coming in and it wasn’t a surprise they made it to the semis. Every team they played in they were the favorite up until Norwalk. When they played Norwalk it was pretty split on who would win. Grove played a great game and then lost to La Mirada. If they had some of the players that got hurt play maybe it would be different but that’s football and injuries are a part of it. We will see if Coach Hay can develop his own players see what he can do. But bottom line is that it wasn’t a miracle what happened this year. They were already a good team coming in.

      • ARGOFAN2009 says:

        footballfan1…

I’VE BEEN AROUND THIS FOOTBALL TEAM FOR A COUPLE YEARS.
COACH HAY AND STAFF DID A GREAT JOB…..WITHOUT COACH HAY
WE LOSE AGAIN IN THE FIRST AROUND…..COACH HAY NOT ONLY
COACHES FOOTBALL BUT TEACHES THESE KIDS HOW TO BE YOUNG
MEN AND STUDENT-ATHLETES……WHEN YOU SAY “DEVELOP”…
DO YOU MISS V?LOL……..ASK STAR PLAYERS AND THEY WILL TELL
        YOU THAT COACH HAY COACHED…

        • footballfan1 says:

Yes they did do a good job and I have spoken to some of the players and they said he did do a good job. But they also felt with or without him they would have made it to the semis. The two Samoan transfers are the biggest reason they made it to the finals. They added so much to an already good team. I know what you meant when you asked about the V lol. But even so they no doubt would have made it to the semis but probably would have lost. But he had a good team I just want to see how he does with less talent. They will be the favorite next year also.

  • Jack Daniels says:

By the way, congrats to all the young men listed above. You all earned it.

  • GG Argo says:

Sean Young is a Senior, not a Junior.

  • ggleague says:

Steven Barreda realistically had about 10 pancakes a game and played defensive linemen in key games throughout the season, thought he deserved linemen of the year.
no disrespect to Cabellero did well on both sides of the ball

  • empirefan says:

pacifica plays grove next season. pacifica will prove once again its the class of the city and too good for the ggl.

  • ARGOFAN2009 says:

    footballfan1(golf guy)
TALENT DOES MATTER BUT ITS HOW YOU USE IT…..AND TO THE PLAYERS YOU TALKED TO PROBABLY DID NOT WANT TO HURT YOUR
FEELINGS…….COACH HAY COACHES AND NO MORE BS ON AND OFF THE FIELD..SOMEONE WILL BE HOLD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THERE ACTION….SO AS A PARENT ,YOU NOT, THAT IS WHAT MATTERS THE MOST THEN ANY RECORD…….

  • footballfan1 says:

Argofan2009 your comment on no more BS on and off the field and being accountable matters more than any record is right on…I’m glad someone has their priorities correct. But I don’t know what you said about the players not wanting to hurt my feelings….why would they care and why would I care. I could care less about the coach before Hay and will say he definitely upgraded his staff especially his offensive coordinator.

  • ARGONOT says:

KEVIN TELLES SHOULD HAVE BEEN MVP

  • Argo Fan Priscilla says:

Congrats to Garden Grove Argos on an OUTSTANDING season….
Coach Hay , staff and players should be commended on their serious Effort and TEAM work that produced Win, after Win, Week after Week. To all of the players that made All League, most deserving honor. Thanks your Great works. Thanks also to the Hard working Garden Grove Football Boosters..You Rock!

In my Opinion Garden Grove Argos stood firm to the commitment of Honoring the death of Kevin Telles, whom we all loved.

For the comment on MVP, Sean Young along with the other players ,is truly deserving of the TITLE, he along with the rest of the TEAM played their hearts out for the” TEAM “and Kevin. The ARGOS will always remember “Kevin” for the “MVP” he was to the TEAM. Gone but never forgotten.

  • Jack Daniels says:

Hate to tell you this empire fan but didn’t you guys get spanked by Norwalk who Garden Grove spanked this year? Too bad you guys couldn’t play the Garden Grove team of this past season and as for class Garden Grove athletes are much more down to Earth from what I’ve observed watching both teams this season.

  • footballfan1 says:

empirefan glad you represent the too good for central and east Garden Grove attitude…I’m sure your jealous of south county but sorry pacifica is part of the city of Garden Grove…you can talk about Grove all you want but your team has to deal with Tustin next year, the same team that spanked you out of the playoffs in 08

  • ENCORE says:

Hey West Garden Grove how’s it going? PaCIFica is the “Class” school in GG hands down. Football, Baseball, Soccer, Softball …….. the kid’s that live in the west can play. The Garden Grove League booted the Mighty Mariner’s to a “much stronger” Empire League to make it more even for school’s like LaQuinta, LosAmigos, Santiago, Rancho Alamitos, BolsaGrande and GardenGrove. Now GG League team’s can fairly compete in football…(PaCIFica owned the GG League with 20+ League in Football, 15 in Softball, Soccer). Last year PaCIFica won the Empire League Title’s in Soccer, Softball, Baseball to name a few, so that the GardenGrove League can finally compete and make the play-off’s, not just an “Auto-Matic” CIF appearance for the Mariner’s in most of the high profile sport’s. Now with another league re-allignment the Empire League will be Tustin(Great in Football, but not much else, Western, PaCIFica, Kennedy, Cypress to name a few. A GardenGrove Argonaut vs. PaCIFica Mariner match-up in football will be “EPIC”. Rival’s for decade’s while in the GG League, now Grove is on top and PaCIFica’s behind Cypress in the Empire League. All of PaCIFica’s losses in the play-off’s were to eventual CIF Finalist’s like TrabucoHill’s, Tustin, Cypress, Kennedy to name a few. …………………CRUNCHBUNCH

    • footballfan1 says:

Tustin not much else has made the playoffs the last 8 years in basketball competing in a harder league. (Century) They are better than Pacifica in basketball and beat them the last time they played. Girl’s sports are not the greatest at Tustin but the Boys will be competing for league in the three main sports of Basketball, Football, and Baseball. It will be interesting to see what happens. Also Western who dominated a weak Orange league will be there also.

  • ENCORE says:

I never mentioned Basketball for the Mariner’s but your right, footballfan1. To the best of my memory they only had 1 CIF title year and a few good season’s in 40 year’s. We are doing well this season check it out ,man. So basically PaCIFica’s as good as the Angel’s only 1 World Series Title in 50 year’s, but we still love them. The Empire l League is stronger now with Tustin and Western. Hope the afternoon traffic is not a problem for PaCIFica vs. Tustin games. 7pm football game 1-2hour’s in transit to the schools mean’s leaving at 3:30 at the latest. An earlier game will hit rush hour for the underclassmen and other sport’s. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>CRUNCHBUNCH>>>>>>>>>>>>>

    • footballfan1 says:

Yes and dont forget Yorba Linda will be a drive for you also. Tusin going to cypress will be a drive. Maybe they will take the distance into consideration and start at 730pm…By the way the parking at Tustin is bad and it just got worse with the remodel of the school. So if you do come to pacifica at Tustin get there early. The construction of the new basketball gym is right in front of the stadium and starts this summer.
