Mission Viejo football coach Bob Johnson said he is very happy and satisfied at Mission, but also said he might apply for the Santa Margarita football head coaching position that became available when the resignation of Coach Mike Jacot at Santa Margarita was announced by the school this morning. “I wouldn’t say I wouldn’t,” said Johnson, when asked if he would apply at Santa Margarita. “Sure, I’d take a look at it. But I love the place where I’m at.”
Johnson’s sons Bret and Rob are on the Mission Viejo coaching staff. Bob said Rob seems to have more head-coaching aspirations than Bret does at this time.
Johnson already has visited the campus and has talked to the administration and boosters. He was spotted a few weeks back and it certainly raised eyebrows back then.
It all seems to make sense now.
I wouldn’t put it past Bob to ask for the similar deal that Welch has over at St. Margo.
Just what is that deal?. If anybody asks, Magillacutty is interested in the
job also.
The coach should have been coaching his special teams instead of walking around the campus 3 weeks ago. MV would be winning a state championship this week if he had
More like tutoring his kicker. The kids was an academic implosion,
therefore, Bob sat him down for the year. It goes without saying, he missed Servite game.
sellout! how do your Diablo’s feel now? What an insult for MV hs and MV fans.
