  • Open Division or Division II is all good! No one excepted Servite to be here and we are!!! Go Friars!

  • Magillacutty says:

    I didn’t except them either

  • Laker Fred says:

The North selection in D1 was a terrible “Bay-Area” political choice.

Nevada Union (the Sacramento Area Champ) got snubbed out of this game big time.

    • David Riker says:

I’m from San Jose originally, and I totally agree. Bellarmine lost to St Marys of Stockton earlier this year and has a tie. Nevada Union should have been chosen to play Oceanside. Oh well, that gives me another team from So Cal to root for. Go Oceanside. I like Servite to beat the other top Sacto entry, Rocklin. Serra of Gardena knocked of the ‘sons of celebrity” Oaks Jimmy Clausen Christian Academy, so they deserve props to beat a tough Marin Catholic team; and San Diego county’s other rep, Francis Parker is the high school of Nick Noonan (up and coming infielder in the Giants farm system, so I like them against Modesto Christian. The only No Cal team worth a damn is De La Salle. They always look, slower, skinnier, and whimpier than the So Cal champ; but you’d better blow them out or they will end up beating your butts, Crenshaw. Ask Long Beach Poly teams of the past how they lost to DLS. They have no super start or super athletes. Just all really sound good football players (including the subs)

Congrats to the Men of Servite. Well done. I made it to the game last night and was glad to witness Servite History. Fajardo’s legacy is well- cemented now in OC HS Football and more importantly…in Servite’s glorious Football history. This Servite team is special. Best of luck next Sat. Go out and finish strong guys! You deserve it. Shout out to #6 and #10. These fellows are giants at Servite.

  • palebycomparison says:

Props to the Friars! This team represent the The Trinity League with class. I’ve been following these guys even though my son goes to JSerra.
As for Crenshaw fans opening their traps, expect a beat down from LaSalle.

  • Friarboy says:

We are the Friars from Servite
And this is the tale of our foe
    His hunter is black
    He is pursued and attacked
    Whack! His head is jacked!

  • tonyza says:

I think that Servite should be playing Crenhaw in the Div.2 finals. Or maybe even both teams in the Open. It seems like all of the teams are wondering what the hell is going on at these CIF meetings. Is Servite falling into a grey area? There is still plenty of time to get the call right here! De La Salle? Not this year gramps!

  • Lancer says:

    Televised?

  • ENCORE says:

Lancer yes it’s on FSN West that’s CH. #49 here in LasVegas. Nevada Union got a nice pass from the old foggies in the CIF. They are the same people that run the NCAA right? Chapparell(Temacula) also got hosed. But that’s the way the football bounces you never know??? And will the Home Depot field be like the Big Anahiem Lake this past weekend??? At least it wasn’t half turf and half clay infield. That’s how it was for PaCIFica vs. ElModena and it sucked when it started to pour. We had to clean the caked on clay from our cleat’s just to get traction. I played both way’s and was lucky that my waterboy little brother used a screwdriver on mine. That reminds me to thank him for that this x-mas. Happy Holiday’s to All and may your cleat’s stay clean. So here’s my pick’s : De La Salle crushing Crenshaw. It’s almost like a home game for both team’s. Crenshaw is right around the corner from HDC and De La Salle is in this game every year. Oceanside, Servite, Serra and Francis Parker round out the winner’s this weekend. St. Margaret’s had to slip up to Parker cause they are the best small school in the state of CA. • line6 CIF CHAMP 07 says:

the socal will dominate agian in the state bowl championships the only game is to watch is the open De La Salle always is a good team and they always come to play. outside them this year no team can play with socal.

  • MD parent says:
