Troy opened the season with its second top-10 ranked opponent in as many games.

Mary Green scored in the game’s first 10 minutes and the Warriors held on for the 1-0 victory over Mater Dei in nonleague play Tuesday afternoon at Troy High.

Troy tied No. 6 Aliso Niguel, 0-0, in its opener. The Warriors are now 1-0-1.

Mater Dei has already played five contests, and fell to 2-2-1 with the loss.
