The Knights were without starter Jessica Stansfield (SAT) and had a chance to cut the deficit to one goal late in the third period but missed two shots on a power play coming out a timeout.
UCLA signee Sami Hill made 13 saves for the Chargers (2-0), who beat Corona del Mar on Friday night.
