Dos Pueblos’ powerhouse girls water polo team defeated Foothill, 11-7, in a nonleague match at Beckman on Saturday morning.

The Chargers – playing without starters Kiley Neushul and Amanda Redfern – used their counterattack to open a quick 2-0 lead and never trailed.

The Knights were without starter Jessica Stansfield (SAT) and had a chance to cut the deficit to one goal late in the third period but missed two shots on a power play coming out a timeout.

UCLA signee Sami Hill made 13 saves for the Chargers (2-0), who beat Corona del Mar on Friday night.
