Servite pulled out a 19-18 victory Friday over Mission Viejo, which failed to convert on a two-point conversion in the final seconds after scoring a touchdown. Servite advances to the championship game for the first time since 1995. Friars QB Cody Fajardo had 166 yards passing and 152 yards rushing.
Highlights and interviews with both coaches, Fajardo and Matthew Inman in this video by OCVarsity.com’s Jonathan Khamis.
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I KNEW SERVITE WOULD WIN! WAT A GAME! BRING ON CIF CHAMPIONSHIP!
CREDO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW! The MV people are really quiet today!
Congrats Servite, and Fajardo so proud of you!
Clearly MV should have won…. just too many errors.. def not their usual game. It was sad.
I guess the Diablos dont play well in big games?
If they played again next Sat., the results would be similar. Very close and not high scoring. We bogged MV down and that would happen every time they play. We have a great TEAM. Give some credit at least.
got alll the calls played well lost sounds like sour grapes
Its the MV way its always someone elses fault. Im proud of johnson though. He didnt throw a tanturm when they cameras were on. Better luck next year. Im looking for that MV linebacker article. Cause i guess those 345 tackles against jv teams dont mean anything anymore. Edison’s linebackers have 363 against teams like servite, los al, fv and a few other classy teams. but we all know MV is still superior.
The MV bloggers must be sleeping in today. Here is the thing – we tried to tell you to be humble. Either sleepin’ in or down at the MV CrowHOP eating crow pancakes. Speed does kill. Servite had a bit more I guess. And wow, were those Friars clearing those starters for MV off the field or what? I know where half the MV team is this morning, at the MV hospital. When you guys come to, maybe you can make it out to the finals and cheer us on. All is forgiven! It was a good game. It would be cool if they supported us though. Maybe you guys can benifit somehow by going to the finals.
tonyz you do not know what humble is, and by the way, next Saturday night, you better
TAKE A BIB WITH YOU, cuz you will be EATING CROW SON!
and when you do, look over tho the opponents side cuz the stadium will be filled with bright red shirts, and banners, and poster, all ready to make you feel better……NOT!
Let me get this right. You tell Tony that he is not humble or he will be humbled. Then you call your shot not only winning one game but two. Forget about humility how bout hypocracy? Prepare to face a formidable foe dressed in green Son. Welcome to the OC!
I don’t generally “spank” women on this site, but “mammy” you have a misplaced attitude towards fellow Trinity members. It serves your program better to support other Trinity teams and your obvious disdain for Servite doesn’t bode well for future considerations.
CREDO
Just a mom, we are not quiet, how do you we aren’t up to something big, and it is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS! So go back to bed and leave the blogs to us! Jst wait, Saturday will be a great big day, lots to see in ANEHEIM on that day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RED RIBBONS AND POSTERS AND BANNERS EVERYWHERE!
Quiet is a good idea about now. Humble too. Ma.
Here we go again with the predictions. Humble is not saying that we are going to win the next game in advance. Is Lakewood’s color red? Edison is green and yellow. Just don’t predict the future and all is good by me. Google the word humble, mom.
Yes, I have learned that OLMomma will have a lot of time to blog while the Servite fans are at Anaheim Stadium Saturday night….WOOHOO!!!
Great game men. Wow. I posted here somewhere circa 2005, on paper, Poly was “supposed” to beat Servite. Thank God football isn’t played on paper.
MV…great game Diablo faithful. You have no reason to hang your heads. You have a great program and will continue to make some noise for years to come. That was one physical game. I heard a lot about the speed on defense. No one said anything about how physical they were.
Any public school who’s fans have the respect to pray before the game with a host Catholic high school AND be respectful afterwards so Servite can do they post game ritual has my utmost respect. Thank you for being a great program.
You are right and I am sorry if that was misdirected. sheeesh, now I feel bad. But there is something to be learned here by all.
