Troy coach Justin Link and Aliso Niguel coach Justin Ferdinand have been selected the coaches for Sunday’s Orange County all-star boys water polo match at Valencia at 1 p.m.
Link, who has guided the Warriors to consecutive 10-0 seasons in the Freeway League, will guide the North all-stars.
Ferdinand, whose Wolverines won the first playoff match in school history, will be in charge of the South.
Troy also reached the Division V semifinals this past season. In 2008, the Warriors were the Division V runner-up.
Both coaches will hold tryouts for seniors on Wednesday night. The North tryouts will be at Troy starting at 6:30 p.m. The South tryouts will be at Aliso Niguel starting at 7 p.m. Only seniors are eligible for the game. Players also must have a USA Water Polo card for 2009.
On Dec. 13, both teams will participate in a Southern California all-star tournament at Norco.
This is Justin Link, the North Coach. We will begin tryouts at 6:30 so it is advisable that players show up earlier to change and warm up. Hope to see a bunch of North seniors at the pool.
Hey Justin,
Who was selected for the North team?
And when do they play?
We have another tryout tonight because there were 45 that showed up and others that could not make it last night. We play at Valencia on Sunday at 1:00.
