LA MIRADA (10-1) VS. SANTIAGO
Site, time: Garden Grove High, 7 p.m.
Outlook: La Mirada, the Suburban League champion, got two touchdowns from J.T. Torres and quarterback Daniel Ponce De Leon passed for two touchdowns in a 44-3 victory over Santa Ana in the first round. Ponce De Leon has completed 158 of 226 passes for 2,150 yards and 19 TDs with three interceptions. Santiago earned its spot in the second round with a 24-6 victory over Costa Mesa. The Cavaliers got big games from running backs Brian Perez and Julian Martinez in the first round. Perez rushed for 203 yards and two TDs and Martinez rushed for 138 yards and 1 TD. The La Mirada-Santiago winner plays the Laguna Hills-Segerstrom winner next week in the semifinals.
