Outlook: The Chargers edged Villa Park, 14-7, in their first-round game. Villa Park led, 7-0, in the second quarter. El Toro tied the score with a 31-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Lewis to Jesse Bueno. El Toro running back Nico Jackson’s 18-yard touchdown run later in the third quarter proved to be the winning score. The El Toro defense held Villa Park to only two first downs in the second half and recorded five sacks in the game. The defense will be put to the test this week against the fourth-seeded Centurions and running back Akeelie Muhammad. The Centurions are averaging 44.2 points a game during their nine-game winning streak. Muhammad is second in the county in rushing (2,156 yards), leads the county in touchdowns (40) and rushing touchdowns (35). In his past three games, he has rushed for 693 yards and 12 touchdowns. His lowest rushing total this season (122 yards) came back on Sept. 11 against Mater Dei.
