The best football games on this week's schedule:
Notre Dame/SO (9-2) vs. Mission Viejo (11-0)
Friday, 8 p.m. at Mission Viejo High
Outlook: The Diablos have already won the first battle thanks to winning the second round coin flips, meaning this game will be played at home.
Now, comes the task of winning the game on the field.
The Diablos were tied, 14-14 at halftime of their first round game against Long Beach Wilson. Then the second half started. Mission Viejo scored 27 points and the defense allowed just 42 total yards to spur the Diablos onto a 41-14 victory.
Exavier Edwards rushed for 123 yards and three touchdowns. Jake Marshall and Tre Madden also added touchdown runs.
Notre Dame defeated Fountain Valley, 41-24 despite allowing Kyle Middlebrooks to rush for 273 yards and three touchdowns.
How will the Notre Dame defense do against the multi-dimensional Mission Viejo offense?
Defensively, the Diablos' Nick Dzubnar led the effort with a pair of sacks and four tackles for losses.
In their game against the Barons, Notre Dame quarterback Ryan Kasdorf completed 11 of 12 passes for just 97 yards, but the damage was done on the ground, as the Knights rushed for 308 yards.
Will they be able to run against the Diablos? Will Kasdorf have anytime to throw?

Great match-up, everyone thought ND was going to win the tough Serra league this year, but they got surprised by a very good Bishop Amat team. MV's defense are fast and big hitters, they've been dominant the entire year, can they stuff ND's offense? ND is not Long Beach, Wilson and have a better rounded offense. MV's defense will be challenged, but they are just too good. MV over ND 28-21.
ND isnt THAT good.....
anyone know where south coast all league is?? Is qb rettig? Dean? Mcewin??
UHWarrior, you cant be for real. MV will crush ND! They will score at least 45 again this week, like they have done all season long
