The first round just ended.
Dana Hills leads 4-2.
The Dolphins swept singles, and got a big victory at No. 2 doubles. Dana Hills led, 3-0, but fell behind 3-4. The Dolphins served to get the set into a tiebreaker, where they won 7-4.
That was a giant win, swinging the match from being even to having Dana Hills lead 4-2.
Corona del Mar rallied at No. 1 doubles, winning the final three games and the set 6-4.
Hailey Hogan went up early on Alyssa Smith at No. 2 singles, but the Dolphins freshman came back and won, 6-4.
At this point, it seems like the most CdM can hope for in singles is 2 sets. That would mean the Sea Kings need five of the final six doubles sets, but would probably be short on games.
Advantage Dana Hills right now.
