Yeah, after Saturday’s section finals, let the season be over.
Besides, it’s obvious who the top teams are, and one more tournament won’t change anything.

For the socal regional tournament to be “in flux” at this time would suggest to me that there is disorganziation. About a week away to me would suggest, make other plans as this probably will bomb out.
I don’t know if the top teams will even participate and then it becomes just an expensive scrimmage with entry fees. Yes, now this is a USAWP sanctioned tourney and not a CIF tourney. Isn’t the reason why CIF cancelled this tournament (aka Masters wiith a few differences) lack of interest, holidays, expense? It wasn’t profitable. And where is the money going to go towards paying the referees and other workers if money is not made to cover the expenses? Does USAWP guarantee payment? And what kind of PR do the tournament hosts expect to generate when they state that the tournament is “in flux”?

A couple of basic questions still need to be answered:
–What is the REASON the state tournament won’t be played?
–Who is in charge of the So Cal regional? If it’s USA Water Polo, is the regional also in danger of not being played?

Very much looking forward to hearing more details. Can you remind us of how the tournament field was supposed to have been selected, and how it’s being selected now? Is there any method to it that you know of?

This tournament is already showing signs of disorganization and misinformation from the get go.
