To all the OC fans I slammed last year when LB Poly squeaked/spanked (by) all the OC schools to win PAC 5 title.I apologize for all the slams on Bishop Amat ,Esperanza and Tesoro. Well I must say that LB Poly is not having a good year yet found a way to make the playoffs. Can Poly beat Los Al ? Doubtful yet they do have a chance. Poly history is something they can fall back on, to maybe steal one from Los Al. Next year Poly will be back to normal atop the SoCal mountain of high school football. How is Preston King doing?

Greendog, it is hard to tell just how good or not MV is. They completely dominate teams but others have pointed out correctly that their schedule was not as tough as Edison and so on. There is no way to really tell if they would have not done as well, or would have beaten those teams just as Edison and others have done.

I know you pointed out Loyola, and them not making the playoffs, however to be fair to Loyola, Servite may have had the strongest pre season schedule, but Loyola has played a tougher schedule then Servite and Edison.
Strength of schedule number based on wins and losses are
Servite 58-42,
Edison 56-44,
Loyola 75 -25
No one had a tougher schedule then that.
Loyola did not play a team with a losing record. They played 4 or 5 league champions.
(Bishop Amat and Notre Dame Co -Champions = 4 leagues but 5 champions)

I also agree no one should put Edison down or any other team for that matter, but the biggest fans who get put down in here is anyone who sides with MV.

So it causes a lot of reaction and words and phrases just get blown way out of wack.

One last note about the Loyola game, MV had 2 TD called back and 2 TD passes dropped. The score could have been a lot worse as this was our first real game. The only comment worth making was the Loyola coaches remarks after the game that MV had dominated them on both sides of the ball.

Edison is obviously a good team, but just because MV has not played the same schedule, doesn't mean they are not just as good a team. Like you said, We will see in 4 weeks.

Bloggers with a long memory, they dont even need to remember yesterday for them to say something negative about MV, not all but the majority will never give MV credit even if they do win. It is just the way it goes when you have just as many idiots as you have good bloggers.

Just as a side note, because number never tell the whole story, Servite only beat 4 teams with a winning aKgimmys

36for ed, and MV or Servi schedule theylo. dominated those teams as well. tha

High school sports results can't be summed up by past numbers or records. These are 15-18 year old kids who might not win their battle on every down. But, it's great entertainment for us youth sports fans as well as life lessons for the kids. All of these boys will remember their respective playoff games for a lifetime. I'm hoping we see good games with great performances by kids who will eventually play on Saturdays.

just read this Mission Viejo,

not one game decides another just cause of the score and how one team beat another.

alright well here are the statistics Mission Viejo has played only 4 teams with winning record and Edison Chargers has played 7 teams with winning record. Mission Viejo hardest opponent was Dana Hills with Power schedule rating of 48.78 and won 48-17. Edison Chargers hardest opponent was Servite with Power schedule rating of 89.28 and won 23-9 (The Friars did not score one Offense touchdown) Mission Viejo's win's over those teams were by big numbers but their Power Schedule were Vista Panthers 49.80. Murrieta Valley NightHawks 43.33. Dana Hills 49.28. San Clemente 42.43. Edison Chargers Power Schedule opponents were Wilson 32.95. Dana Hills 48.78. Servite 89.28. Mater Dei 47.20. Newport 62.00. Los Al 45.81. Fountain Valley 55.89. Mission Viejo's average against their keys wins are 44.6 and Edison Chargers is 54.55. Mission Viejo can not be rank #1 no matter what just because of their weak schedule strengh. Yes their scoring big and beat Dana Hills by a large amount but I'm sorry that does not mean anything to anybody, not even the coaches at Mission.

I'm sorry Edison is a way better team than Mission. The teams in the Diablo's bracket are really going to show the weaknesses that Mission has.

Number's don't mean anything but only scare and it can go both ways with Mission killing teams and Edison's power rating but just at the rankings #1 Edison Chargers #2 Mission Viejo Diablos.

sorry bighighschoolfan everyteam show's their weakness especially against a highly top ranked team (Servite,Mater Dei, Fountain Valley, Dana Hills, Los Al) name one team that you played thats in the Pac-5 top ten(Dana Hills)? Edison has played 4teams in the Pac-5 top ten and Los Al at #11, and won every single one of them

Yup! Andrew you are preaching to the choir! My Dolphins hoped to beat Mission Friday night for our first league championship in the schools 37 years.

Mission rolled us! It's nice to take second place in the South Coast League, that too was a long time coming.

The Friars have one of the longest championship game droughts in Orange County, it would be nice to finally see them go all the way this year.

keeping it real tells the truth and so does Greendog...MV plays a soft schedule and don't forget Bob "I paint footballs for passing league" Johnson has a history of running up the score on sub par opponents. Coach White is a class act and does not believe in running up the score. MV fans are all on these forums popping off and saying things like "Edison has no shot" and "MV is better offensively and defensively". I suggest you actually watch other teams play before you go out and crown your kids CIF champs. Edison gets more respect in the polls for a reason, they are the better team that has played the tougher schedule. Only Servite has a tougher schedule than Edison and MV is no where near either. I've watched both teams play this season and the MV defense is no where near as good as the Edison defense. You have to watch Edison to see how good that defense really is. When they played DH they were missing their star LB, so you can't just go off of what the DH fans tell you. Notre Dame will probably beat MV, but if MV some how gets by ND bet the farm that they get beat by a better Servite team. It's going to be an Edison/Servite rematch for the finals, sorry MV.

I believe that Servite is going to get an opportunity to redeem themselves against Edison, and it is not going to be pretty. They only get better throughout the playoff, Troy Niklaus is back for them, Kirifi will be back for them, this is going to be one scary Friar team. Also the fact that some seniors had a disappointing loss against Lakewood last year, I have a feeling they still have that bad taste. I believe Fajardo is leading the division with completion percentage (72.7%) on how many attempts he has, and also he only has 2 interceptions on the year.

BHSFF,
I think what you are saying that there is no way Notre Dame can beat Mission Viejo. Reminds of when you called CDM a two touchdown winner over Laguna Hills. You really have no clue, right?

Thank you green dog. Ive only stated facts. Edison's schedule is a better and tougher schedule. I don't see MV going out of their way to play 6 top ten in the oc and 5 in the top 10 in CIF. I see them playing 1 other top ten team in CIF. Lets see if Edison is so weak, why does max preps, freeman, and ESPN all have them in their top 20 in the nation? In max preps Edison is 7th and in freeman edison is 2. Explain that.... please. Id love to see your reasoning... And if i remember correctly how many points do you have to win by in order to win? ohh yeah 1. Doesn't matter if its 1 or 1000 its a W. So get over yourself. Our worst games came against top 5 teams in the division. You worst game came against a team that's star player broke his leg IN THE FIRST QUARTER and that said team didn't even make it to the playoffs. Sorry if i live in the real world and you live in fantasy land. ND finishes you guys off in the second round and you can eat it for another 365. GO CHARGERS
