County teams remaining: No. 4 El Dorado; Laguna Beach; El Toro; Northwood; Huntington Beach; Canyon

Tonight’s schedule: Click here

Best match of the night: Valencia of Valencia at El Toro. This is a rematch of a meeting in the Beach Cities tournament. El Toro won, 2-1, in the best of three match. Valencia is going to be hungry for a victory. The Chargers, however, are a tough bunch to beat in their home gym and it’s going to be a full house, if their student body has anything to say about it.

Outlook: Most of the county teams have a good shot at advancing. Huntington Beach gets to stay home and play Serrano. The Oilers are favorites in that one. El Dorado has to take a very long bus ride to Paso Robles. That’s going to be a challenge, but the Golden Hawks have incentive knowing they have a home match in the next round thanks to Wednesday’s coin flip. It’s likely opponent is Laguna Beach, which is matched up against Northwood. That’s a tough draw for the Timberwolves. Always facing a difficult task is Canyon, which is going against No. 2 Santa Barbara.
