SEGERSTROM (5-4, 4-0) VS. SANTA ANA (7-2, 3-1)

Where, when: Santa Ana Stadium, Friday, 7 p.m.

Outlook: Segerstrom already clinched a share of the league championship with its 42-28 victory over Westminster last week. They can win it outright by beating the Saints in this game. Segerstrom slogged though a challenging nonleague schedule, in which the Jaguars played the likes of Laguna Hills and Santiago, but that rigorous road obviously got them ready for league play. They have won their four league games by an average margin of 21 points, thanks largely to an offense averaging 45 points in league. A Santa Ana victory would make the Saints league co-champions, and there would be tri-champions if Santa Ana wins and Westminster beats Orange. In league, Santa Ana, led by running back Frank Nerida (123 yards a game) and quarterback Chris Avila (144 yards passing a game), averages 33 points a game and allows 26; in addition to its 45-a-game scoring clip, Segerstrom gives up 24 a game in league. This will be a high-scoring game.
